How to Archive a Class

Learn where to find the Archive button in Kira and how to archive a class from its Settings tab. Archiving removes a class from your active class list while keeping its course information.

The Archive button for a class is on that class's Settings tab, at the bottom of the page. Archiving removes a class from your active class list without losing its course information, which helps keep your workspace tidy at the end of a term.

Find the Archive button

  1. In the left navigation menu, select Classes.

  2. In the My Classes list, select the class you want to archive. You can use Search classes to find it quickly.

Good to know

  • Archived classes are removed from your active class list, but their course information is kept.

  • If your class was imported from Canvas, you'll also see a Disconnect from Canvas option in the Connection section above Archive. That option stops roster syncing and archives the class, making the Canvas course available to import again. Use Archive if you only want to hide the class from your list.
