Kira 2.0 Lesson studio
Kira’s Lesson Studio is the new way to build lessons, activities, and more: using AI to help you quickly create high-quality materials.
The new Lesson Studio helps you build leaning materials with help from AI.
Once you build a lesson or activity, you can assign it to your students and grade it right from the Lesson Studio.
To access the Lesson Studio, head to your Home page or Create > AI Tools. To find learning materials you’ve built with the Lesson Studio, just head to the Library tab.
Gradebook
The new, Kira 2.0 Gradebook is built in to the Lesson Studio. To view which students have completed work, and grade work, head to the Library tab > the Kira 2.0 lesson/course/activity > the Grade button at the top.
💡 The Kira 1.0 gradebook (in Evaluate > Gradebook) will only show grades for Kira 1.0 courses.
Other Kira 2.0 AI tools
AI Tools: Kira has more than lessons and courses! From Home page or Create > AI Tools., you can build lessons, quizzes, differentiate content for students with IEPs and much more!
Interacting between Kira 1.0 and Kira 2.0 features
As mentioned throughout the article, Kira 1.0 features (like the course builder and Gradebook) do not interact or share data with Kira 2.0 features (like the Lesson Studio, Gradebook, or AI tools).
Rollout timeline
We’ll be rolling out Kira 2.0 features progressively over the coming months. All Kira 2.0 features will be available to all teachers for the 2026 Back to School season.
