Note: While you can become a student in any section of any course, if you have courses that are utilizing integrations to sync your roster, you will likely be kicked out of the course as you are not an officially rostered student.
Welcome to Kira! We regularly hear from teachers who want to see what the student experience looks like. Good news: you can add yourself as a student to Kia courses and lessons to see what students will see.
With the rollout of Kira 2.0, there are two different ways to add yourself to courses. For our classic course structure (under Dashboard) follow the Kira 1.0 directions. For our Lesson Studio, follow Kira 2.0 directions.
Adding yourself to a Kira 1.0 course

1. Navigate to your teacher dashboard.
2. Click the three dots on your course card, located on your dashboard, that lead to a drop down menu.
3. Select 'Invite Users'.
4. Enter the same email you used to sign up for your account, and select the role of 'Student'. Then, click the purple plus + sign.
5. You've been added as a student!

Head to your Kira account > Library.
Find the lesson or activity you want to add yourself to and click into it.
Click the Assign button.
Click Student only and type your email address, then click Next and finally Submit.
After you've added yourself to a course (for both Kira 1.0 or 2.0), click your name in the lower left corner to change your role between student and teacher.
