Choose which class profile you want to look at in the drop-down menu at the top.
Students
On the left side, you'll see the roster of Students in this class, along with various Filters you can use to view the students. You can choose one of the pre-made filters shown, or choose Select an item.
Data for this Class
One filter for viewing the students is called Low Confidence, which, if selected, highlights students for whom we don't yet have enough data on their work in some content or skill areas to have confidence in reporting their progress.
The Last synced data in the top right allows you to force an update, to make sure you're looking at the most up-to-date data for this class.
And if you want to just look at the performance data for this class on a particular assessment, you can choose Filter by Assessment.
Class Summary
The Class Summary near the top of the profile highlights patterns and trends in the student learning data for this class. And the What to do next? section offers concrete next steps you can take to address the current learning gaps.
Clicking on any of the What to do next? tiles brings up the Kira AI in a right side panel, and it will create new content for you, or organize particular groups of students in the class, so you can take that specific action to improve learning!
3 Visualizations of the Data
In the next row we see three visualizations of the data on the class' skills progress. First, the Zones of Proximal Development (or ZPD) - a phrase coined by Vygotsky, an influential educational psychologist - shows three levels of skills that the class is working on mastering:
Emerging - skills that students are in the beginning stages of mastering
Ready to Grow - skills that students have made progress on mastering
Secure - skills in which the students have demonstrated mastery
The 2nd chart, Skill Distribution, shows the same skills data as the ZPD chart, but in a pie chart format.
The 3rd chart, Tiered Support Distribution, displays the same skills data across Tiers 0-3 (from the MTSS / RTI intervention framework).
Tier 0 - Skills in which students are performing strongly, needs no intervention
Tier 1 - Skills where no intervention is needed beyond core instruction
Tier 2 - Skills where students might benefit from targeted intervention support
Tier 3 - Skills where intensive support is recommended to help students attain mastery
Skills Needing Attention
This section displays ranked skill cards with signal badges (regression spike, low confidence gap, overlapping group) showing exactly which skills the class needs most help on, and why.
Clicking on any of these skills brings up a deep dive about the students' performance on the skill in a full side panel on the right.
You can also scroll to the right to see more of these priority skills.
Learning Data on All Domains, Standards, Skills
In the All Domains section, on the right you can Search by skills or standards, as well as Filter by mastery level, by whether the skills have been introduced or not, and by domain, as shown below.
In the All Domains table, the hierarchy is Domain - Standards - Skills: clicking on a domain shows the standards in that domain, then another click reveals the associated skills. Then clicking on a skill will again bring up that right side panel showing the distribution of students' skill data, as shown below.
