Kira courses include units, lessons, and steps, with steps being the smallest part.
Here are two ways to check if you've completed every step within a lesson.
💡 Please note: If your teacher has turned on lesson or unit content locking, you must complete each step in order to move on to the next step.
Check for Green Check Marks in the Course
As you work through your course and complete each step, green check marks will show up on the left side of your screen.
These check marks tell you that you've completed that step!
If you can’t move on to a new lesson or unit, check each step and make sure it has a green check mark next to it.
Review Your Gradebook
Another way to check that you've completed each step is by checking your gradebook. Open your gradebook to see which steps have a score. If a step is missing a score and you see a dash, it may not be fully completed, and you may need to revisit it.
Example Scenario
As an example, let’s say your teacher asks you to complete Module 2 of a course by the end of class. Here’s how to find the lesson, work on it, and check that it’s marked as complete!
1. Locate the Unit and Lesson
Find Unit 2, Lesson 1 in the gradebook to see the number of steps you need to complete
2. Navigate and Start
Use the course navigator to start on the lesson. For example, if you need to start with Module 2, Lesson 1, Step 1, look for "2.1.1" in the course navigator.
This notation means Unit 2, Lesson 1, Step 1. You can see how many steps are in each lesson and track your progress.
3. Track Completion
You will know you have completed all steps in Unit 2 when you see all green check marks or scores for each step in the course navigator or gradebook

By following these steps, you can track your progress and stay on top of your assignments in Kira.
