You can print PDFs of Kira courses or lessons directly from the course or lesson editor view. Find the course in your Library and click it open - then select the down carrot next to the course name and select 'Export.'

Note that very digital elements of the course that do not print well will have placeholders instead. This includes things like videos, whiteboards, action tiles, etc. Everything else will print in a way that students can easily engage with on paper.

If you know you intend a lesson to be printed, you may want to work with the Ask Kira AI to make edits for formatting ahead of time.

Using the same flow as above, simply select 'Teacher Key' instead of 'Student Copy.' The same rules for highly digital elements like videos rendering as placeholders.

You guessed it - this is printable in the same flow as above! You can find course information by clicking the three lines with dots next to the course Table of Contents. Here you can also make edits or regenerate this information.

Utilize the Homepage chat! Simply tell it the lesson you need a lesson plan for, and it will generate one that you can edit and print. You can work to iterate this to pull relevant standards or any other necessary information into your lesson plan.

Tip: You can also view standards associated with a lesson after you've completed Standards Tagging by selecting 'Question Settings' on any activity.

A Kira Lesson can be anything you need - including slides! Google Slide decks can be embedded right into a Kira lesson if you already have one you'd like to use, or you can upload one via the AI Chat and ask Kira to take the contents and turn them into a Kira lesson.

You can also prompt the Kira AI to turn an existing lesson into something that is more slides-esque/presenter friendly, or have it generate a new 'lesson' in the style of slides on a certain topic.

Work with the Homepage chat to make something printable, or build them directly into Kira! After our updates in March 2026, Kira lesson support many questions and activity types in a single question - you can create Kira lessons that better allow students to track their thinking and learning.
