Find your way around the dashboard when you log in
Welcome to the Kira platform! Let’s take a look around. When you login, you’ll land on your dashboard, your home base for all of your teaching needs.
View Your Courses and Sections
In the middle of the dashboard are your active courses. Expand the course cards to see the sections of each course.
Click on a section name to open the class view of the course content. This is where your students will spend most of their time. The class view contains the course navigation, content, and activities your students will complete.
Exit the class view by clicking the back arrow in the top left corner.
Tracking Student Progress & Grading
At the bottom of the page, the progress heatmap lets you see student progress at a glance.
Select the course from the dropdown menu, and see the progress of students in each section.
On the right side of the page you will find notifications about students that need support and assignments that need grading.
Clicking the assignments opens the gradebook or grading mode. You can read more about grading here.
Exit grading mode by clicking the back arrow in the top left corner.
Left Navigation Bar
On the left side of the dashboard, you will find a navigation bar with links to your dashboard, a list of all your sections, a list of courses available to you, your student roster, your gradebook, and grading mode.
