The difference between units, lessons, and steps within a Kira Course
In Kira Learning, course content is organized in a structured hierarchy to make navigation intuitive and straightforward. The structure is broken down into three main levels: Unit, Lesson, and Step. This hierarchy ensures that you can easily find and follow the material in a logical sequence
1. Unit: This is the broadest level of organization. Each unit covers a major topic or theme within the course. For instance, in the example provided, "Unit 2" covers Data Representation and related subtopics.
2. Lesson: Each unit is divided into multiple lessons. Lessons focus on specific aspects or subtopics within the unit. In the image, "Lesson 2" within Unit 2 covers Hardware and Data Representation.
3. Step: Lessons are further broken down into steps. Each step represents a smaller, manageable chunk of content or a specific activity. For example, "Step 3" in Lesson 2 of Unit 2 is titled "Using RGB Values to...".
How to Read the Course Orientation: X.X.X
When navigating through the course, you will often see the orientation formatted as X.X.X. Here's what each digit represents:
- The first digit (e.g., 2 in 2.2.3) identifies the Unit number
- The second digit (e.g., 2 in 2.2.3) represents the Lesson number within that Unit
- The third digit (e.g., 3 in 2.2.3) denotes the Step number within that Lesson
In the image, bellow "2.2.3" means:
- Unit 2: Data Representation and related topics.
- Lesson 2: Hardware and Data Representation within Unit 2.
- Step 3: A specific part of Lesson 2 focused on "Using RGB Values to...".
This structure helps learners follow the course content in a clear and organized way, making it easier to build their knowledge step-by-step
